Brett was born and raised in Vermont. He came from a Real Estate family. His mother has worked in the residential brokerage field his whole life while his father ran a residential mortgage office. Dinner conversations about purchase and sales agreements and financing contingencies became the norm. Brett’s early life, however, was dedicated to athletics and education. He was a competitive alpine ski racer through high school, until he decided to focus on his career in Whitewater Slalom Kayaking. Kayaking allowed him to spend extensive time internationally, developing a sense of the importance of a community’s built environment. After representing the United States in the 2004 Olympic Games, he continued to compete until 2012 while earning his B.A. in Economics from the University of North Carolina, also studying urban planning and serving on the US Olympic Committee’s Athlete Advisory Council.
Brett then spent a year working for The President of The United States, but decided it was time to commence a career in his true passion.
Combining Real Estate, economics and urban planning led Brett to Denver to begin his work in Real Estate Development and Management. He served as Project Manager for Urban Market Partners since 2014, helping to manage over $40 million of office space and managing various ground-up and redevelopment projects.
Brett’s driving motivation is to combine business efficiencies, intelligent design and neighborhood involvement to deliver truly superior projects that improve the quality of life within the community.
He is currently managing a redevelopment project in West Des Moines Iowa, which was recently featured in the local news.
